Outside In bed

The ‘Outside In’ bed was created by Idle Hands for exhibition at Fringe Furniture 32, 2018. The design for the bed was inspired by the use of lattice and, more broadly, the grid in modern art and architecture. A powerful symbol, the geometric structure can be seen to create a barrier, fragmenting your view and suggesting the feeling of being outside looking in. Alternatively, the grid is organised and systematic, a beautiful and simple structure that is primary to the built environment.
